    This short concluding chapter positions North American taiko in relation to the era of the Trump administration and the resurgence of white supremacy and xenophobia. The author asks whether taiko will remain an Asian American-identified practice in North America yet marks the important roles of second- and third-generation Asian American taiko players in antiracist work. Broadly held core values of respect, heritage, empowerment, inclusivity, and transparency are identified as strengths of the North American taiko community.
